Growth continues at Dinit Card Services and its owner, the Cornèr Bank Group
The 67th financial year was successfully concluded for the Swiss banking group, the Cornèr Bank Group. Revenue grew to CHF 418 million or approximately EUR 367.6 million, which is an increase of 0.2% over 2017. Revenue also increased at its affiliate, Dinit Card Services, which closed the financial year with revenues in the amount of EUR 5.79, which represents a 20.8% increase over the year before. Dinit Card Services, one of the leading fintech companies in the region, also increased the number of employees by 6.7%.
This once again confirms the stability of the Lugano-based bank. Statistics from The Banker, an authoritative British periodical for financial analysis, bear this out: in 2018, for the fourth year running, it classes Cornèr Bank Ltd. as the bank with the strongest asset base in Switzerland. That ranking is consistent with the balance sheet figures, which show a strengthening (+3.0%) of the bank’s equity capital to CHF 1.1 billion (app. EUR 973.8 million), while the balance sheet total rises to CHF 8.2 billion or app. EUR 7.2 billion (+0.8%).
